8/9 Report
Friday was a productive catchup day after being away since the 2nd. I saw my psychologist, picked up refills of my medications, used the CES in the early afternoon, paid the bills, made deposits, checked emails, and so on. I also squeezed in some time to relax – a nap and some TV (err…Netflix/Amazon Instant Video). I was exhausted by 11:15 pm, put on my CES device and fell asleep.
It was a fairly good day overall. A productive day and an emotionally stable-ish day.
8/10 Report
I woke up at 6:30 am – no alarm. Set to work immediately – sending out emails and consulting invoices, making church related phone calls….I spent around 2 hours on the phone talking to four or five different people – that is pretty huge for me.
The rest of the day was primarily spent intensively preparing for my sermon on Sunday on divorce and remarriage. This was difficult for me and emotionally destabilizing – same with the study on hell previously. There are certain topics that are very difficult for me emotionally (another is free will/predestination). My brain overheats. But I survived.
I went to bed by 11:30 pm, exhausted again. I realized as I hit the sack that I hadn’t used the CES device in the evening (I’m pretty sure I did in the morning), but I was too tired to get up again…so I just fell asleep.
8/11 Report
Up at 8 am, I always find something to tweak on the sermon. Then its the time consuming process of getting ready for a Sunday morning service. In addition to the usual I have to shave – I hate shaving. It is SOOOO boring…and no matter how many times I check, I always seem to miss some stray hair somewhere.
Church goes well…I think my sermon went well. Nobody threw any fruit or vegetables at me. Afters I helped Augusto practice parallel parking and then went out to lunch with Andrew Vogel and Matt Thomas at the Great American. It was good to catch up.
When I finally arrived home at 3 pm I was beat. I took my medications and fell asleep – didn’t wake up until 5:30. I’m working on a project related to Layered Bible – which I’m not revealing yet – but I spent several hours tonight working on it (still have a lot more to go before it will be ready for public consumption) and I worked on migrating the church’s site onto a new, faster web server until well after midnight (I didn’t want to stop mid-process).
I used the CES device before I went to bed but didn’t use it in the morning. The evening was pretty rough for me emotionally and physically. My legs have been a real pain in the butt. If I lay on my back and raise my legs and try to straighten them out – I can’t…then if I keep trying they slowly straighten but only with a lot of effort. I have no clue what is wrong with them…but it is annoying.
Postscript
Hopefully I’ll get back to the CES more regularly now that I’m back at home and have caught up a bit. I’ll also settle back into my normal routine. Reports should become more consistent and informative.
I still don’t know whether the CES device is helping me. I do know that it is really easy to use…and it doesn’t seem to have any side effects – so why not use it?
